School-age children have dedicated areas with homework tables, reading corners, art supplies, and active play zones, separate from any younger groupings.
Surfaces are sanitized on a documented schedule, and children have input on how the room is set up and which materials get rotated in.

Our Mary Hanley Centre is located at 37 Street NW in southeast Edmonton’s Mill Woods. The neighbourhood is home to several elementary schools, making the centre convenient for families whose children attend nearby.
Children typically arrive after school by walking with a parent or guardian, since we do not provide transportation.

Educator Qualifications
Every educator at Mary Hanley holds post-secondary credentials in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related recreation field, and is current in CPR and Standard First Aid.
Many have additional training in behaviour support, group facilitation, or coaching, and several have been with St. Francis for over a decade.

No Transportation
We do not provide transportation between schools and our centre. Families arrange drop-off and pickup directly.
For after-school pickup, families typically walk from nearby schools, drive over, or coordinate with a friend or family member.

Drop-Off and Pickup
The centre opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Pickup is limited to authorized adults listed on each child’s enrollment form, and we verify identity at the door before any child leaves.
