St. Francis Parent Resources

Parents Zone

Welcome to the St. Francis parent resources hub. This is where current and enrolling families find forms, the parent handbook, subsidy information, and key policies.
Most parents bookmark this page on their phone for quick access during the school year.

Enrollment Forms

Our enrollment system is built for parents with no time to spare. Enter your child’s information once, and the system generates all the forms your centre needs.

Unified Digital Form

Rather than completing a series of paper forms, you complete a single digital intake. The system covers emergency contacts, immunization records, allergy details, authorized pickup adults, and parental consent forms.

What You Will Need

Have on hand: your child’s birth certificate or status card, immunization record, two emergency contacts (besides yourself), and your subsidy file number if you have one.

Submitting Your Forms

Submit completed forms directly to your centre’s email. Find your centre’s email address on its location page.

Alberta Child Care Subsidy Information

All five St. Francis centres are approved for the Alberta Child Care Subsidy and the ELCC program for eligible families.

1

Eligibility Overview

Subsidy eligibility depends on family income, employment or education status, and your child’s age. Most working families with children under kindergarten age qualify for some level of subsidy.

2

How to Apply

Apply directly through the Government of Alberta. Once approved, share your file number with your centre’s director, and we will automatically reduce your monthly fees.

Important Policies

A few centre-wide policies that all St. Francis families should know. Full details are in the parent handbook.

🌡️

Illness Policy

Children with fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious infections must stay home. We follow Alberta Health Services’ guidance on when children can return after illness.

🔑

Pickup Authorization

Children may only be released to adults listed on the enrollment form. We verify identity at the door before any child leaves the centre.

⚠️

Allergy Management

All staff are trained in allergy management and EpiPen administration where required. Each centre maintains an allergy-aware environment with documented procedures for affected children.

🚸

No Transportation Policy

We do not provide transportation between schools and our centres. Families arrange drop-off and pickup directly. This applies to all five St. Francis locations, including out-of-school care at Mary Hanley and Greenview.

Daily Communication

Most centres use written daily reports, in-person handoffs at pickup, and photo updates on request. Each centre’s specific communication tools are described on its location page.
