Programs Offered
Greenview offers two of our programs: full-day kindergarten and out-of-school care for school-age children. Alberta-mandated educator-to-child ratios apply, from 1:10 in the kindergarten classroom to 1:15 in school-age care.

Greenview has dedicated spaces for kindergarten and school-age children, with reading nooks, math centres, science tables, homework areas, and active play zones.
Surfaces are sanitized on a documented schedule, and rooms are set up with input from the children themselves.

📍 Built for Viking and Surrounding Communities
Greenview is the longest-hours centre in our network; it opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM. Parents who commute, work shifts, or have non-traditional schedules choose Greenview because they can drop off early and pick up late.
A dedicated Program Director is also available on a separate phone line at (587) 597-4657 for urgent or detailed questions during the day.

Our centre director oversees daily operations, classrooms, and family communication. They are available by appointment to discuss your child’s enrollment or any concerns you may have.

Educator Qualifications
Every educator at Greenview holds post-secondary credentials in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field in recreation, plus current CPR and Standard First Aid.
Many hold additional training in early literacy, behaviour support, or kindergarten-stage education, and several have been with St. Francis for over fifteen years.

No Transportation
We do not provide transportation between schools and our centre. Families arrange drop-off and pickup directly.
For after-school pickup, families typically walk from nearby schools, drive over, or coordinate with a friend or family member.

Drop-Off and Pickup
The facility is open from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Pickup is limited to authorized adults listed on each child’s enrollment form, and we verify identity at the door before any child leaves.

Subsidy and Sibling Discount
Greenview is approved for the Alberta Child Care Subsidy and the ELCC program for eligible families. For families enrolling multiple children, we also provide a sibling discount.
